“New York Times, Amazon, Booklist, etc. told me I should LOVE this book. I only liked it. If shelfari allowed half stars it would have been a 3 1/2. While the language and imagery were beautiful, it didn't flow for me. I found some of the language to be too contrived, as if the author sat around with a thesaurus just to make the book sound more esoteric. ”
