“Very enjoyable, but a bit long, romantic comedy about a plain (allegedly) gardener girl from Yorkshire who meets a prince of a small principality outside Italy, falls in love and gets engaged. And made over, quite successfully so she's not that plain. Good characterization, nice and leisurely falling in love, but yes, a bit long. Very much Princess Diaries for grownups.”
