Hero owns a bar & grill on the Texas coast. The heroine breaks in during a bad storm and he offers her a job and a place to stay. She’s obviously running from someone or something. He can’t convince her to go to the police, but he’ll help her all he can. The plot is a little predictable—she’s hiding from a rich, powerful, abusive husband and is trying to protect the hero from him while he’s trying to help her—but it’s told very well. Good read.
