“The book blurb pretty much covers everything that I would like to say about the plot so I’m going right to my review…
I know I picked an erotic read but I felt that the erotic encounters overshadowed what was a fantastic story. I ended up skimming over the sexual scenes to read the meat of the plot. I didn’t think I’d ever say this but there were too many repetitively described explicit interaction. Yes, I’m going to say it…it got boring!
Now that I got that out of my system onto the story...I’ve read every book in this series and tons were finally exposed. Great revelations we have been anticipating from the previous books finally are revealed, making Secret Sins essential to understanding this series.
I did find that I didn’t like the manipulations and secrets that where kept. Now that I have more understanding, I thought that many of the choices were asinine...Yup, wanted to smack them around and wake them up from whatever stupid-drugs they were taking. Why not let someone understand why they are a target?
In the end, I am looking forward seeing what direction this story will take now. I am hoping Crowe is next and can’t wait to see how Anna will fit into the Callahan dynamic. 3 ½ Stars.
