“a new widow finds out her dead hubby has a son by another woman, her church is trying to take her inheritance and have her declared incompetent, and she has the whole town gossiping about her strange behavior. somewhere in all that, miss julia finds herself and comes out fine.

“Widowed Julia is trying to recover from losing her husband when she discovers he had a mistress-- and a nine year old son! After he left her his money, she thought all she would have to worry about is how much to give to her church each week. That Preacher Ledbetter is awful-- I have low tolerance for that kind of manipulative use of people. Although I might read a second one in this series, I don't think this is gonna be one of my favorites reads-- despite my mom's recommendation!”
