  I thoroughly enjoy these books - the world is written in such a way that it feels real and I find myself pulling for the heroes and desperate for the villains to be caught.”

  “I've long regarded Mercedes Lackey's books as fun but rather fluffy. Reading Book 1 of the Bardic Voices series did nothing to change this impression. But book four is a bit more dark and serious in tone, and holds together well as a stand-alone.”
