Didn’t Like It “Joss has returned to Bathory to kill Vlad because he is a slayor. When he has met Vlad 3 years ago him and Vlad were friends and Was also HEnerys cousin. “I am a fan of the Vlad Tod series and really liked the first in the Slayer Chronicles series. I expected Joss McMillan's story to continue in a more exciting, action filled fashion than the plot of this book. Joss goes home, but finds his family is still in ruins and he is thankful for the opportunity to return to the slayer society with an assignment in New York. Joss feels that he has hidden his secret assignment to kill Vlad from his uncle, his team and the society. He finds out very quickly that he has hidden nothing and the slayer society has tasked him with killing a rogue vampire with no help from his team or he will be killed for breaking slayer society rules. Joss sets out on his task and runs into some familiar characters; Vlad's Uncle Otis, the powerful vampire Em and the mysterious Dorian, but they have little impact on the storyline. The book is a must read for Vlad and Joss fans, but it left this fan a little disappointed. Just Read It, if you must!”
