“The hunters is the third and final book in the Brotherband Chronicles, by John Flanagan, who has also written the Rangers Apprentice series, consisting of 10 novels. As with every piece of work he has published, I have throughly enjoyed and read multiple times. While the book was an extraordinary worthwhile read in my opinion, it seemed like it was too similar to the other series that he wrote, a young Aurulan male protagonist, a best friend warrior with a hothead, a scholarly friend, a love decision between tree people, and even the same purposeful exile in order to get something back and the recurring themes which I think killed it from a perfect book. The book also seemed like it was rushed. While these cons might seem to shy a reader away from the book, it was still an amazing book, full of action and suspense, as well as an amazing finish to the trilogy. I would highly recommend this book to someone, although it would be recommended to read the first two beforehand, is not necessary.

You mention that the book seemed rushed. What evidence to you see of this, and what do you most wish Flanagan had done differently with this book?
