- Nikki: The main character. This book is her diary.
- Mom: Nikki and Brianna's mom.
- Brianna: Nikki's little sister. Is obsessed with Princess Sugar Plum and loves sweets. She also loves to annoy Nikki. Has a imaginary best friend (Miss Penelope) which is drawn on her hand.
- Nikki: A girl who is the main character in the story. She writes everything in her diary. There are secrets and events that she writes in her diary everyday.
- Dad: Nikki and Brianna's dad. He works as a bug exterminator and owns a van that he uses to advertise his workplace. It has a giant roach on it and Nikki is embarrassed to be seen riding in it.
- Chloe: Nikki and Zoey's best friend. Goes to the same school as Nikki.
- Zoey: Nikki and Chloe's best friend. Goes to the same school as Nikki.
- MacKenzie Hollister: The most popular and evil girl at school. The worst enemy of Nikki. She will do anything to hurt Nikki and her friends. Goes to the same school as Nikki. Also has a secret crush on Brandon. She also is really rich and she gets everything she wants. She is obsessed with herself and looking the best at school. Is also obsessed with popularity and wants to always be the most popular.
