  “Fine collection of short fiction in the universe of Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar. Some of the authors are familiar to me. Others are not. Most of those that are new to me are names that I will look for to buy.
  
  Alas, the last story of the collection by Philip Austin is not up to standard. To my thinking, it featured someone who I did not believe could be chosen as a herald. In it, he finds perfection, kills it and presents it to the queen.”
