Oh my God. Oh my God. That was literally the only thing running through my head when I finished the book. If you thought that this book was going to answer all of the questions Fated left, you were wrong. It answers a lot of those questions, but leaves countless others in its wake.
Daire is still stubborn and thick-headed, but everything she does is with good intentions. Dace does everything with good intentions too, but most of the times I wanted to beat his head and tell him that he was wrong!
In Fated, most of the time it was Daire's head I wanted to beat for all of the choices she made, but in Echo it was obvious she grew and matured. Her choices were better and she had a better grasp on her powers and purpose.
On the other hand, Dace seemed to make more mistakes and choose the worst option, and one of his choices specifically left me screaming at him NOT TO DO IT. Did he listen? Of course not, he's a character in a book. But still, I wanted him to see the mistake he was making and not make it.
Cade is still a complete and total jerk, but we see more of him here and more of his motives, etc. He's the antagonist and I hate him, especially for what Dace decided to do because of him.
There's a lot in this book, just like with Fated, that confuses you until the last second. That's great, because it left me turning the page to figure out what the heck it meant, but it was also frustrating because it kept me turning the page to figure out what the heck it meant.
And the ending. OH MY GOD, the ending. What? What?!?! I am impatiently waiting for the third and final book in the series, Mystic, to see what's going to happen. Because, seriously. The ending is going to shock the pants off of you.
I recommend this for people who enjoyed Fated (duh) and who love strong-willed heroines and love that you just can't help put your faith in. Oh, and evil and action and magic and a bunch of other stuff that leaves you with your mouth hanging open and shut like a fish.

Magic, the undead, demons and more. Quite the story and there is more to come. It will be interesting to see where this story goes. It has quite the cliff hanger ending too.
