Thereis no denying that 6 year old Kevin Riley has a vivid imagination - he actually believes he’s been for a ride on E.T.’s spaceship. Unfortunately for Kevin, this trait will be used against him duringhis molestation trial. Travis Knight, the talented criminal defense attorney hired to defend 3 Catholic priests accusedof molesting Kevin, skillfully usesthe boy’s trait to convince the jury the alleged molestations were merely figments of his imagination. If the jurors wouldhave had to console Kevin after one of his many nightmares, they surely would have convictedthe priests, but they are limited to the evidence presented in the courtroom - not in a child’s bedroom. After days of legal combat, the jury finds the priests not guilty of the charges. This perceived travesty of justice sendsone person over the edge, causing them to seeka very unique form of revenge that is inspired by the Spanish Inquisition. In the seventeenth century they used burning at the stake to cleanse the souls of heretics. The priests in this story definitely need agood cleansing, but a more modern approach is needed. The executioner has decided to use a homemade flamethrower containing a custom made mixture of napalm to getthe job done. This approach ensuresthe priests will be given a little time to reflect ontheir transgressions asthey roast and suffocate. Perfect. Detective Tom
