What’s Left of Me is such a unique story. I mean, two souls sharing one body? Now, that is something you don’t hear every day ;)
I’ll admit. I was a little creeped out by it. No. I’m not creeped out by Eva’s referral of our hands or our heads or our anything. It’s the whole sharing part that got me creeped out. I can’t imagine myself in that situation. There’s no hiding anything from each other. And how are they going to spend the rest of their lives with the guy they love?!
The ones who has two souls and shares a body, and when the one or the other soul doesn’t fade away after a few years, they are called hybrids. They’re supposedly are ‘dangerous’ to society. The government doesn’t like hybrids that much. When the government find out if that one person’s a hybrid, they’ll be sent to away.
Eva and Addie are hybrids. They thought Eva was gone but she’s still in there. Only Addie’s the one who knows that Eva hasn’t left the world. Eva and Addie might share a body but they have different personalities. Eva was a little more impulsive than Addie and she does things without thinking about the consequences. Not that she could do anything since she can’t really move but she’s very persuasive. Addie is a little more the lay low kind of person. I mean, if they got caught as hybrids, it’ll be Addie who pays the price. Why wouldn’t she lay low when she’s the one who controls the body? And as far as they know, the world doesn’t know that Eva exists.
What’s Left of Me was a really good book. The pace is okay. I would’ve given 5 stars on Goodreads but it lacked something. And I think it lacked details. There were so many questions left unanswered. Too many questions left unanswered.
Also, OMG, I CRAVE for more romance in it! And it got me CRAVING for much much more when I read the ending. Freaking awesome ending ;)
Fans of sci-fi and dystopian will definitely love this book. What’s Left of Me is definitely a page turner!”
