  • Daniel Ray: Vera Ray's son who goes missing in a snowstorm in the 1930s while his mother is at work.
  • Ethan Kensington: Claire's husband, his family owns the newspaper she works for.
  • Charles Kensington: Vera Ray's suitor in the 1930s. Comes from a privileged background.
  • Cassandra: Woman (food critic) that works at the newspaper that Claire and Ethan work for, causes problems in their marriage
  • Abby: Claire's friend who works at the newspaper
  • Warren Kensington: Ethan's grandfather, Claire is very close to him.
