Patrick Jones edited the summary of The Wolf's Moon Saturday, February 11, 2012.

    • The Wolf’s Moon is a story about a man swept up into circumstances that nearly get him killed…killed by an animal allegedly extinct for thousands of years. A Dire Wolf was genetically engineered into the present day and is killing people in the Missouri County of Crawford and the town of Maple Hills.

Crawford County is located in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains (they are called foothills unless one is hiking them with a forty or fifty pound backpack!). The main character, Mark Lansdowne, lost his wife to illness and is not ready to move on with his life, not even with the help of two intelligent, beautiful women that make the “Bond Girls” envious.

Lansdowne, along with his pal Warren Skruggs, set off into another adventure which is just one in a series of exploits when Lansdowne was known as A.K.A. Michael Linden. Mark Lansdowne's past provides an element of mystery in itself, enabling him to hunt as does the beast.

A subtle romantic theme is woven throughout the adventure as Mark Lansdowne pursues the beast at his own peril.

The author, Patrick Jones, draws from his varied experiences and background that enables him to recount the adventures in the series The Linden Chronicles.
