“There is no one as sarcastic as John Corey in all of literature. He is just the best wise-ass out there. The story line of The Panther is similar to that of The Lion and Joh and Kate find themselves (her willingly, him not so much) in Yemen trying to track down an American Muslim who is responsible for the terrorist attack on the U.S.S. Cole. John and Kate are not sure who all they are working with, but certainly don't trust all of the agencies involved since John was hired on as "Panther Bait" and suspects that someone from the U.S. Government may be trying to have him killed -- the fact that Kate has killed a CIA agent doesn't make her too popular either....”
