  • Mirabelle Lively: aka Mira; Protagonist and main character. A 15 yr, soon to be 16 yr old, orphan girl living in California. She was raised by her two Godmother's Bliss and Elsa.
  • Elsa: One of Mira's godmothers. She works as a professor at a nearby university and is a book worm type.
  • Bliss: One of Mira's godmothers. She owns a crystal and charms shop. She is very girly.
  • Blue Valentine: The first person she meets on her trip to Beau Rivage. A real jerk!
  • Freddie Knight: Blue's best friend. Very sweet and old fashioned gentleman sort, who has a thing for damsels in distress.
  • Felix Valentine: Blue's older brother and Mira's love interest; runs the casino for his father
  • Henley Silva: A friend of Blue's. He's Vivian's gardener/boyfriend.
  • Vivian Deneuve: Another one of Blue's friends. She has a wicked stepmother.
  • Rafe Wilder: A beastly womanizer. He hangs out in Blue's group.
  • Layla Phan: Another of Blue's friends. She is very beautiful and enjoys books.
  • Wills Knight: One of Freddie's older brothers
  • Caspian Knight: One of Freddie's older brothers
  • Jewels: The lead singer in Blue's band "Curses and Kisses"
  • Delilah: A wicked fairy who owns a nightclub where "Curses and Kisses" plays
  • Jane: Blue's first love
  • Cora: A friend of Felix's
  • Mr. Knight: Freddie's father
  • Mrs. Knight: Freddie's hypersensitive mother
  • Piers Lively: Mira's dead father
  • Adora Lively: Mira's dead mother
  • Rachel: one of Mira's friends, she takes Mira to the bus station to catch a bus to Beau Rivage
  • Matt: Rachel's boyfriend
