  • Cleaning: The poisoned atmpshere keeps dirtying the Silo's aboveground sensors. Residents who break the law are given the penalty of going to the surface and cleaning off the sensors. This spells certain death, as the atmpshere is so toxic.
  • Caster: Term referring to the role of mentor who has taken on an apprentice. See also "Shadow".
  • Shadow: Term referring to someone who is an apprentice.
  • Down Deep: The lowest 48 floors of the silo.
