“Fire Dance is the third book in the Fire Wars series. The series has a dystopian feel combined with mythology. The story picks up in the middle of an epic battle between the water gods and fire gods. Chance (aka Mars), is a fire god, and Varun (aka Neptune) is a water god. Mac, also known as Vesta, is caught up in the middle of a love triangle between the three. Though she is in love with Chance, she is still drawn to Varun. Despite their differences they must decide if they can work together for the greater good of both worlds to defeat the evil that threatens to destroy them all.
This was a very fast paced book and I found the dystopian feel mixed with the mythological factor in this series to be very intriguing. Mac finally comes into her full embodiment as Vesta. The love triangle continues, and though she knows she loves Chance, she is still drawn to Varun, and desperately needs resolution, even causing Zeus to step in. Mac/Vesta is going to have to make a choice between Chance and Varun, and she needs to do it soon. There is plenty of romance in this book, but there is even more of a focus on action and fighting as well, which keeps you on your toes. If you are a fan of mythology with some dystopia mixed it, then this is a series you might want to check out.
