Felt like I was reading the same short story over and over again. Not that I didn't enjoy it the first or even the second time, but the same phrases and themes were so repetitive. That said, Alexie is certainly a writer with talent and I'm looking forward to trying again.

I would say this book is much more sardonic then his other books and by that course could be considered light. I caught him when he was giving a speech at CSULB and from what i understand it was drasticly different then his other speeches as it was completely light hearted. anyway, if you love this book then read indian killer!
