David Sedaris is an absolute hoot! He's an excellent and very readable author whom I've seen perform a reading at Arizona State University. Quite a quirky guy! I much prefer his stories about his family rather than his fictional writings.

David Sedaris is always funny. But "Me Talk Pretty One Day" was funnier.

His humor reminds me of the great writer, actor and director Woody Allen. My favorite part was The End of the Affair. Perhaps because I also saw that film and agree with his comments or maybe because of the way he related that film to his relationship with Hugh. It was both funny and romantic.

Easy read. Relatively short humorous stories that are semi-autobiographical.

Laughing out loud often which is a good break from reading Jane Eyre again.

This had some funny parts, but overall was a disappointment based on what I had heard and expected.

It's funny, after I got beyond the slick, ad-speak style. It's another audio-book which probably works better being narrated as stories by the author himself. He relentlessly reveals his own foibles and his families follies to create a screwball cast of characters from his real growing up life. I was glad when the book ended. I don't think I could have taken another dysfunctional tale.

Like reading someone's blog. He's good at highlighting the everyday stuff we usually would overlook in a very witty and hilarious way!
