As usual, Janet's books are enjoyable, fantasy reads. The men in her books are pure fiction but still we can enjoy imaginging there actually ARE guys like that out there! Liked the dog, especially.

You can see Evanovich was bursting with talent before she even created Stephanie Plum! I can definately see how these aren't the typical "romance novels" but they're just as sexy. Evanovich provides an excellent plot that is always very funny. Her characters are the best! Way to go! Must read anything written by Janet Evanovich!

This book was written before Stephanie Plum had been created, but was later re-released. I'm so glad it was put on the market again! It's great to read the stuff that Janet wrote before Stephanie, but to get an idea of where the Plum series evolved from.

In Rocky Road to Romance Daisy is a non-stop overacheiver and people pleaser. She's trying to pay off school loans, finish her dissertation, babysit her brother, work at the radio station, deliver papers, intern at a nursing home, and act as a crossing guard for school kids. Of course she doesn't have time for love! But Steve, her boss, thinks she needs to make time for him and once her life is put in danger he makes sure that he's the one to protect her.

There is a dog named Bob and a hilarious older lady named Elsie Hawkins to complete the cast. It is definitely reminiscent of the Plum series and just an all around good, fun read.
