Fabulous book full of the statements that have become cliches now. Just a great read and a tremendous insight into the minds of a speculator.

If this book was shorter it would have been great. The lessons are very useful, and it's worth the read for anyone, but after half the book, the exact same stories pretty much repeat in the second half. I therefore gave it a poor review for that, notwithstanding the great advice provided within.

Didnt found the book as gud as i thought based on the reviews....After a few pages the whole thing becomes becomes quite repetitive..Also the fact that most of the techniques mentioned are not actually in use now makes it even more boring..

A classic tale of a trader from the early 1900s. This is a timeless book for anyone interested in markets, in general. Livermore reminds us to ride trends, and to understand that it's never too late to buy or sell.

This book is pretty amazing for someone who wants to know the mind of an original trader. Granted many of the techniques that the narrator talks about are now illegal, this book still serves as a must-read for anyone who is even remotely interested in the stock markets.

This book is a classic. There is no way around it (and I severely tried coming up with another way to put it). If you have ANY interest in the equity markets you should read this book. Some of it is dated, there are a couple of chapters about insider trading, but the lessons in this book you can use in today's market. Jesse Livermore penned this book (according to wikipedia) so any "rules" in this book are from his own mouth. After reading this book you'll want to read his biography by Richard Smitten just to learn more about the man behind the ticker.

If you are interested at all in investing, this is a great book to read. Even you aren't interested in investing it is still a great story about human nature and the stock market.

With the markets going ballistic this is truly a good book to come back and read. The master says it all. There was a time when JP Morgan himself is believed to have come and asked him to stop shorting the market as he was causing huge swings in the market.[br/][br/]But the sadness in all this is that inspite losing and making back fortunes several times over, he finally died a pauper. Such is life. The book is also very difficult to come by, by the by.
