Hot Six: A Stephanie Plum Novel

by Janet Evanovich

Never mind who did the deed with New Jersey bounty hunter Stephanie Plum at the end of High Five. Five months later, that night's only a dim, cherished memory, and Stephanie's freezing her butt off on a Trenton bridge trying to keep her friend Carol--caught shoplifting some crotchless panties she was too embarrassed to buy--from committing suicide. Truth is, I didn't for a minute think... (read more)

The 336 paged book, Hot Six, by Janet Evanovich was apart of story that seems to never end. As Stephanie Plum, the bounty hunter, stumbles across yet another crazy adventure, her grandmother moves in with her and everything gets even crazier. Her friend, Ranger, is wanted for questioning about a murder and she gets caught in the middle of it all. Two men follow her around in hopes that Ranger will come to her but being stalked by crazy people seems to be a normal part of her life as well as stumbling across dead bodies. She doesn't like to listen and once you get Stephanie in on something there's no getting her out no matter what happens. She definitely lives a crazy life and has the friends and acquaintances to prove it. Stephanie Plum is definitely a hilarious character. I don't think I've ever read a book where someone is on a stakeout and falls out of a tree like Stephanie does on page 80. Another thing is that she gets into some dumb situations like on pages 267 thru 270, walking into a Star Trek convention and arresting Captain Kirk must've been a good idea at one point...Right?

Grandma moves in with SP and Ranger is an FTA...hilarity ensues. ;) I loved the Morelli ending in this book and there were several laugh out loud moments. I can't get enough of SP.

This whole series is hilarious. It is not a serious book by any means and I laughed all the way through it.

This one was a little slow to get into, but the rest of it was good. In this one, Ranger becomes the FTA.

I am certainly on a Stephanie Plum kick. This one certainly didn't disappoint me. I laughed out loud multiple times, especially at Bob, the dog Stephanie had to babysit. I was laughing so hard when he ate Grandma Mazur's prunes and did his business in Habib and Mitchell's car! Great fun!
