“Not as good as the first, but still very funny. My one critique is that the ending and the solving of the case is very fast. The information falls into Stephanie Plum's lap and it takes very few pages for Janet E. to wrap up the ending. ”Jocelyn12 wrote this review Monday, May 21, 2012. “Quick read, very funny, by book two you're hooked on the corny characters. Each holds a place in my heart...LOL, I plowed through this series with a vengence...it became addicting, and now I'm feigning for book 19, and I want to read the Diesel series spin off.”Kelly S wrote this review Saturday, April 28, 2012. “Stephanie Plum makes me laugh. I love all the characters--Morelli, Grandma Mazur, and I feel a definite kinship with Stephanie's mother. Reading this book was fun!”Penelope Marzec wrote this review Monday, April 23, 2012. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“I enjoyed this, but not as much as some of the others. I actually put it down for a little in the middle. It was funny, especially Grandma Mazur, who had a big part in this book. It was nice to see how Stephanie and Morelli's romance got started. They have such great chemistry together. ”Jenny R wrote this review Monday, April 23, 2012. “In Two For the Dough we meet up again with our favorite characters from book one in the Stephanie Plumb series. Stephanie, still not the best bounty hunter there is, is on another case and has her hands full this time. With the help of her trusty friends in the crime fighting world along with a feisty grandmother, she's close to invincible! Okay, well...maybe not invincible, but at the very least, a pain in the ass for any criminals that think they'll be able to pull one over on her.
This series is really fun to read. It's the type of series that doesn't really follow a complicated story-line and each novel is standalone. Kind of like reading a sitcom. The characters relationships grow and change but the story is always new. They're similar of course. Stephanie stumbling her way through one apprehension after another, her love-hate relationship with Joe Morelli.
This is a series that I'm really happy that I got into. It's fun, action packed and entertaining. I will say however that it's a series for older readers: 18 and older. It contains mature content such as violence, sex related scenes, language, and abuse. At times a few scenes were hard for me to read because they were so descriptive.
All and all however it was a really enjoyable book and I look forward to reading the next!”
“This book was entertaing and comical. Stephanie always gets herself into crazy situations but solves them with Morelli or Rangers help. Her Grandma is a character and does weid things like going to funerals for the fun of it. Interesting read that you want to see what the next adventure will be.”Wanda wrote this review Friday, April 6, 2012. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
