I don't know what it is in me that if too many of my women friends rave about it, I have to find fault. Just ornery, maybe. This is another story of a young Southern girl named Lily with a nasty mean daddy, so mean he killed her mama. She runs off with her black nanny, and they land in a house with three sisters (May, June and August Boatwright) who all raise bees. So there is the plot line with her father trying to find her, there is a part of the plot about what the sisters and the bees...

    Yay, it will be a movie! And what a cast! I haven't even finished the book yet, and I love it! I do indeed feel like I'm smothered in honey (in the good way) while reading it. I love the characters, I love the setting (in a softer way than I love my kids - first among the 32 meanings of love)
