Emily Windsnap thought that her life was normal. Well, as normal as it gets when you live on a boat with your only mother and your nemesis living across the street. However, when she signs up for swimming lessons, she begins to have a strange sensation in her legs. At At first, she thought it was cramping, but when she went out for a late night swim near Rainbow Rocks, she discovered that she was a mermaid. Well, not exactly a mermaid. Her legs disappear as soon as they hit land. During her late night swimming, Emily meets Shona, a full mermaid who wants to be siren when she's older. Soon, the two become best friends, and Shona aides Emily when she went out to break her dad out of Neptune's prison. However, they run into trouble with Neptune himself. But it ends well because Neptune's condition was to have the family live on Allpoints Island, an island were merpeople and humans can live together in peace.
