“It's been awhile since I've read this. It was an interesting read. I flew through the beginning, but as the story progressed and Elfaba got older, my attentions began to wander and I started picking up other books instead. I thought it to be creative and imaginative, giving a possible and plausible history of the Wicked Witch from Oz's life. Of course, I think I also read things about Elfaba and the rest of the the Oz land that I'd probably just prefer to never have known or imagined. But hey...it was my child's mind that fell in love with the original, so it's no wonder that the more adult concepts where a little awkward and hard to take. This book is not one I'll be adding to my permanent collection. I read it once and once is enough. Like some movies, not a lot of re-read factor. Although, I'd be interested in seeing the musical.”
