Not as ggod as the first one, but still a good one! lets hope the third volume will be as good as the first!

This was my second book about zombies. The first was The Passage. I didn't think I'd like this genre but it wasn't so bad.

I probably plowed through this too fast and need a slower re-read a year from now to truly absorb everything that happened. That said, while I enjoyed this book, it was underwhelming in some parts as a followup to The Passage, which I love passionately.

I can't wait for the next installment. Bram Stoker is turning in his grave after seeing what was done to the Vampire lit genre...I think Mr. Cronin may have settled him somewhat!

It's been a while since I read The Passage, but I remember feeling totally engrossed in the story; it was gripping and suspenseful. I remember feeling like I just couldn't put it down. While The Twelve wasn't a BAD book, I really had a hard time getting into the story - there were simply too many threads (3 different time periods) too many different characters to follow, and too many different locations described for me to follow/enjoy the story. The sad part is, I'm not someone who only enjoys a linear story - beginning at point A, with characters A & B, and proceeding forward in time to it's conclusion - so for me to say this was too confusing, well... It was a disappointment. I was really looking forward to this one. I won't be continuing with the series. :(

Nov. Loved the book. Continued the first story in a wonderful way.explained things left to your imagination and developed the characters. Wonderful sequel.

Totally immersed in the world of The Twelve and in tears by the end. Well structured, with good characters, action sequences, a few ridiculous coincidences (but you want those so you don't care a whit). Delicious, and I don't just mean the blood.

What a great sequel. A lot better than the first book.
