I loved how poignant this novel is, and how deftly Colette makes us feel for Cheri and Lea, even if the two of them are deeply flawed people.

I also love that in this novel, it's the guy who is playing the naive ingenue, and notn the other wat around. It makes for a very interesting picture in my head, and how these two novellas end is just heartbreaking.
