Not my favorite in the Hornblower series, but the series as a whole remains one of my favorites of all time. There were parts of "Atropos" that I really enjoyed, but it seems that some of the plot lines were cut short. Almost like the author was getting tired of writing. However, even when Forester is not at his best, he is better than most.
