I have read rave reviews about it and I just dont get where people are coming from. I found it boring and hard to get through. I took me over a week rather than 2 days top get through this book, I didnt feel the pull of it. I found Stella boring and her reasoning to commit suicide seemed dumb to put it bluntly...now I am not to say that someones reason to end their life is dumb but for a fictional novel I thought it could have been more creative. Now I know her parents OD'd but it was 6 years ago and it seemed odd that 6 years later she's decided to commit the act, maybe I missed something or maybe I was expecting so much more that it was a let down. I liked the authors writing style and felt that it was what got me through the book because she was very succesful at depicting a high school scenario. I did like how Stella was funny and blunt at times. As for the other charatcers I feel some of them were just thrown in i.e. her boyfriend Daniel....what I did like about his character though is that he seemed to give her a sense to live.
Anyway all in all I would say it was a pretty mediocre book and one that I would not recommend seeing how there are plenty others that are way better in this genre.
Happy reading!”
“Brilliant book, brilliant plot and outstanding ending. A must read.”

It is about the problems of an adolescent girl and I really wanted to reach out and help her, but she was also a little irritating. Sad ending.”

Although parts of this book were very funny, and Stella’s wry observations of high school life were on target, for the most part the book did nothing for me. While at times I felt some sympathy for Stella and her difficult life, in general I didn’t like her much and thought she was whining just a little too much for me. Many of the characters in this book were not well fleshed out, and I found the character of Ainsley, Stella’s erstwhile friend, to be the most intriguing character in the book.
The author of this book is only 23 years old, and I think this is an author to keep an eye on. With some more maturity in her character development I think she will become a very gifted writer.

“the book focused on a radical high school seniors last couple weeks from school and then ends focusing on another character all together. in fact I venture to say this book wasn't about the main character at all.”
