After Daemon Black healed Katy, everything has been changing and its nothing good. She is somehow deeply connected to Daemon and can’t tell whether her attraction to him is something he did to her during the healing or pure and extreme chemistry. Katy has pretty much chalked it up to Alien Mojo and is looking for a distraction from her attraction.

The DOD, Department of Defense is buzzing around like bees. If they find out about Daemon and Katy’s connection everyone will be at risk. Katy keeps Daemon and Dee in the dark, to push them away and out of danger. But it seems nothing is going to keep the DOD away and with every discovery betrayal and more heinous plans are uncovered.

Onyx is jammed packed with changes and twists, action, hot (HOT), did I mention hot, chemistry and heart breaking realizations…but I can’t go into that because it would give too much away and you truly must experience this book for your own. Let me just say…

Daemon is incredible. He made this book! I loved this book, it pulled me right into this alien world! I felt their emotions right along with the characters. I do have to admit after reading Lux 3 reviews I think I might wait till 4 is released because I don't think my heart can handle any more cliff hangers. Yes, I own 4 so chances are I'll cave (I will definitely cave) Jennifer Armentrout has made me feel like a part of the characters' lives, I won't be able to wait. Incredible writing, fabulous story! 5 BIG STARS!

Even though Daemon was like 1000x better in this book, Katy totally ruined it for me and the pseudo love triangle was even worse, and the plot was fairly predictable. I really wanted to like this one as much as I loved the first one, but guess not D:

4.5 Deamon, flairs hot and bright in this book. He gets to put his bedazzle on and I as many others liked it. This one sexy-yumific alien. He steps up and takes care of business, even dealing well with a crazy maybe girlfriend and her maybe semi- two timing ways. Really, it's complicated, you'll see.
It is a great edition to the series, a lot of hair pulling scenes and screaming obscenities moments from this reader. Oh it was so twisted, I loved it.

The plot thickens and the story grows, so does the relationship between Daemon and Katy. I love the aliens and their super powers. I don't know whether to trust the new characters and I wonder where she will take the story from here, but I can't wait to find out.

    A great follow up.

You know what I love about Onyx? You know how sometimes when a series starts out really well, with a toe-curling, grin-inducing, squee-worthy budding romance that you're all jumpy-up-and-down excited about? But then the sequel comes, and for some reason or other (probably to eek out as many books for the series as possible) they often make the hero just... go away for a bit. Maybe by having the couple have a big bust up fight or something. And then he'll be absent for most of the book and your heroine will be moping about.... Which is okay, I guess, if you want to go down that sucky route, but it's always a bit of a let down after all the build up in the first book.

But oh ho ho ho nooo. Not in this case, my old sausage. This was so jam-packed full of  Daemon Black  I don't think he could have possibly been in it more if he tried! And my, my did he make good use of his page time. *grin*

If you want to know who to thank for the inordinate amount of Daemon worshipping we were allowed to do in this book, her name is Liz Pelletier, the editor, who demanded more of him (who wouldn't?) be put in. G'head and put her on your Christmas list.

I can't be bothered going over the plot in my review—and let's face it, I think I've told you all you really needed to know about it—but I'll just say that it was better and more elaborate than the first. Katy was a bit too indecisive and hypocritical at times, even when Daemon was trying really hard to be nice, but she's still a great protagonist and I still think she rocks. And he had a lot to make up for, I suppose...

Now why the heck did I read them so far before Opal comes out I ask you? WHY?
