*** SPOILER ALERT ***

Twenty-one-year-old SARAH (PRO) was raised by her late aunt and still has only two friends—the twins MIRA and XANDER. She is the child of a human mother and a vampire father. Her only memory of her mother is of Sarah killing her. Of her father, nothing—just a hatred for his vampiric traits that made her kill her own mother. She’s spent her life injecting serums to suppress her nonhuman side.
Sarah also has dreams that come true. A nightmare foretelling her future stirs the traits she’s been suppressing. They act as a beacon for underworld creatures to find her, sent by the evil demon lord ASERET. But WILLIAM, the man she’s fallen in love with in her dreams, appears, sprinting her away to a secret cabin in the Amazon.
There she learns about her past. Like her, William is a human-vampire half-breed. Their mutual attraction is their destiny and their legacy to fulfill a prophecy: the children of two half-breeds will save the human and vampire races from extinction. But how can Sarah and William have children when even touching one another generates pain? A curse has been cast to keep them apart.
William also tells Sarah that her father, EKIM, is being held captive with William’s parents in the underworld. When Sarah dreams that the seekers are on their way, she and William decide to trick them, to follow them back to the underworld to rescue their parents.
Their plan fails and Sarah is captured. Her father is in the next cell, and his kindness shatters her perceptions about vampires and the traits she inherited.
Unknown to Sarah, Mira and Xander are shape-shifters, tasked with Sarah’s protection. They accompany William to find Sarah. While freeing the family, they also free a witch named Alex who is Aseret’s cohort, XELA. She plans to part William and Sarah by exchanging Sarah’s soul for her own, thus destroying the prophecy.
The family and Alex go into hiding, where Xela tells the couple that she can lift the spell keeping them apart. Instead, unknown to anyone Xela switches their souls. The magic concealing Xela’s appearance is washed away. Realizing they’ve had an enemy in their midst, Mira and Xander want to kill the unconscious witch, but Xela, now in Sarah’s body and seeking further revenge, convinces them to dump the witch’s body in the forest so she can die slowly.
Sarah awakens in a new body—but she is in the care of ERIC, an evil-bender also assigned to protect her. Eric takes Sarah back to the Amazon to retrieve a magical ring that will reveal her true identity. The ring doesn’t fit Sarah’s new finger, but Sarah uses Xela’s greed for power to outsmart her. Eric uses his bending powers to switch Xela’s and Sarah’s souls into their true bodies.
With the spells lifted, Sarah and William can begin fulfilling the prophecy by creating their twins who will ultimately save the vampire and human races from extinction.
