“Yielding our desire for success to God’s will for our lives (by-line)—with lessons from nineteenth century missionary, Hudson Taylor…(from the front cover)
“Through a weaving of Bible verses, wise words from a humble missionary and applications to modern-day life, come discover why God has special reasons for using some people in the spotlight and some in the shadows.” (from the back cover)
Don’t let the literally small size of this book fool you! It’s only 114 pages long and not much bigger than the size of a pocket New Testament but it contains precious gems. And no “fluff”—you know, empty filler material.
Here’s a sample gem (quoted by Ms. Young from Hudson Taylor): “If God has called you to be truly like Jesus in all your spirit, He will draw you into a life of crucifixion and humility. He will put on you such demands of obedience that you will not be allowed to follow other Christians.”
