- Bratniss: The protagonist, her full name is Bratniss Everclean.
- Hagridmitch: Bratniss and Pita's mentor, if you can call him that. He rambles on about Harry Potter.
- Pita Malarkey: An overly obsessive boy who likes to stalk Bratniss. He has loved her ever since kindergarten.
- Bratniss's Mom: Ever since her husband's death, Bratniss's mom has become obsessed with bread, and tries everything she can to try to kill Bratniss. Suffering from major depression.
