It's been a while since I've read these(Homeland, Exile, and Sojourn), but I remember liking them. There was one scene I can think of that might've caused a problem, but after that I can't remember anything bad. I'll try to reread them and find out for sure.

There were quite a few times when I just wanted to put this novel down because I was bored. That did not last very long, however, when Drizzt finally started doing something about his lot in life. The novel is so comepletely different from the typical faeries found in fantasy that I really enjoy Salvatore's Dark Elves. I am definitely going to pick up the rest of the series.

This book is so far one of my favorite books. The plot is intense and unexpected, making you feel as wary and cautious as the characters in the book. The overall writing is very well done, and is packed with details that make you vividly picture the scenes in your mind (the way the author describes the cruelty wants to make you grimace). I completely recommend this book to young readers who like fantasy. Enjoy :)

The Dark Elf Trilogy is a favorite of one of my best friends, so I figured I ought to give its first book a try. I was not disappointed, though that whole Forgotten Realms D&D-type fantasy was never my favorite style. Despite that, I found the main character Drizzt rather irresistible . . . yup.
