My favorite rizzt book thus far. I love that it centers around Artemis Entreri and his stilted view of fighting prowess and ability. I don't think Pasha Pook is the best of villains, but then Entreri is in there for a reason. The amount of trouble that Regis can get himself into is amazing, and it doesn't end here. He wouldn't be Regis if he did. I wish that Guenhwyvar was in it more often. And tarterus was such an interesting plane. Over all it was just great.

I really like R.A. Salvatore. Obviously a gamer (especially Advanced Dungeons and Dragons) his work is very fun to read with anyone who shares that hobby. I would give all of his stuff four stars if it were any more than idle entertainment.

I'd prefer to give this book 3.5 stars, but since fractional stars are not available, I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt with 4 stars. Overall, the book was great, as I've learned to expect from Salvatore, but I found the ending somewhat abrupt. I would like to have received a more in-depth treatment of the battle of Mithral Hall, although I have a feeling this will be covered in more detail in later offerings. Highly recommended as part of the Legends of Drizzt series.

An awesome trilogy. I discovered the writer with this, his first set of books, and have loved everything he has done since. A great storyline, captivating characters and a good fantasy world make this a must read for fantasy fans. My highest recommendation.
