Bruenor, el enano, Wulfgar, el bárbaro, Regis, el hafling, y Drizzt, el elfo oscuro, se dirigían hacia Mithril Hall, la antigua tierra natal de Bruenor y de sus antepasados, donde esperaban quedar deslumbrados al contemplar los ríos de plata que fluían en aquel lugar. Cuando consiguieron penetrar en la gran ciudad subterránea del clan Battlehammer, y gracias a las historias explicadas por Bruenor, pudieron imaginarse fácilmente a "diez mil enanos, incansables por la pasión a su amado trabajo, golpeando los bloques de mithril y cantando oraciones a sus dioses". Mas Mithril Hall ya no era lo que había sido, porque entre otras muchas calamidades, en ella habitaba ahora Tiniebla Brillante, el dragón de la Oscuridad.

Otro emocionante relato dentro de la crónica que narra la leyenda del elfo obscuro. Esta historia como las anteriores de R.A. Salvatore, se encuentra llena de aventuras, misterios y magia. La sociedad de los compañeros del Valle del Viento Helado es cada vez mas fuerte, así como peligrosos los desafíos que encuentran en su búsqueda de la mítica ciudad de los enanos, Mithril Hall.
Todo en este libro es perfecto para los amantes del juego de Rol. Las apariciones de los dragones son siempre épicas y seguro el desarrollo de la que aquí se narra les resultara inolvidable. Así mismo, la introducción de otro de los personajes legendarios: Artemis Entreri. Simplemente es fenomenal su relación con Drizzt. Creo que sienta las bases para un enfrentamiento que muy difícilmente pasara desapercibido.

“I'm disappointed that this adaptation leaves out some of the best parts of the original books. I know it is hard to make the transition from book to graphic novel, but I thought this could have been much better. ”

“I love Harpells! I also have a distinct liking for Artemis Entreri. I have loved watching his character develop throughout the series. Of course in this one he is at his lowest, or highest, as a cold blooded killer. But still, he is such a neat villain. And that dagger... I like that he and Drizzt seem to always end up relying on each other to save their own skins, even fighting harmoniously alongside one another. Such as in this book.”

“I really like R.A. Salvatore. Obviously a gamer (especially Advanced Dungeons and Dragons) his work is very fun to read with anyone who shares that hobby. I would give all of his stuff four stars if it were any more than idle entertainment.”

“An awesome trilogy. I discovered the writer with this, his first set of books, and have loved everything he has done since. A great storyline, captaviting characters and a good fantasy world make this a must read for fantasy fans. My highest recommendation.”
