“The conclusion to a suspenseful trilogy! The "Society" is in charge, or are they? Who is the "Rising"? Did the society really develop the original plague? Will Cassia, Zander and Ky be able to develop a cure for the mutated plague in time? Ally Condie keeps her readers completely engaged in this series. Sure to be a favorite among not only young adults but others as well.”

“Loved this final book, and Condie's lyrical writing style. Brava to Condie, for maintaining the interest level through 3 books--none of the three was weak, which is unusual with series. I liked the way things turned out for Cassia, Ky, and Xander. I liked the way the story was told from the three perspectives, chapter by chapter. Sometimes, however, the voices of Cassia and Xander sounded too similar and I'd get confused about who was speaking.”

“Cassia and Ky were together but the Rising splits them up again. The Plague is out of control and the cure isn't working. Everybody is dying except for the ones with the red mark on their back. Ky doesn't have a mark. Ky is infected and no one survives this disease. If you liked the first two books you will like this book.”

“That was a lovely ending to a great series. All the loose ends are finished off although it isn't a perfect ending as in some people die, there is hope for the future and the main couple are finally together and at peace.”

“The first two books were disappointing because the language was so simple that it seemed like children's books. The conclusion was able to bind everything together and used elevated language to achieve this end. Great Job!!! ”
