Is the ending satisfying?
Personally i didn't really like the end. I didn't want Sam to give Max up for adoption. I thought he was doing a good job raising him, loving him, and taking care of him. I can also understand how hard it must have been to raise Max by himself since he was a single teenage father. He was given less credit then teenage mothers because he was a guy and people didn't expect he could do it. With the ending i would have liked to see Sam overcome his fears and keep Max. He had so many people there to support him and help him raise Max.
If you could ask the author a question, what would you ask?
I would ask the author what her motivation was for the ending. Why she thought it would be best for Sam to give up Max. I would also ask her about the last chapter. It was very unclear to me what was happening. It would have been nice to know the end was fast fowarded 18 years.
