Brilliant. One of my favourite books. It is funny, strange and unique. I loved it. I think everyone should read it.

I was instantly floored by how obvious it was that the author took inspiration from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Because of my love of Lewis Carroll's book I was destined to love this one as well. While the logic and wordplay and even quite a few of the plot points between the two were very similar, The Phantom Tollbooth differs in theme from Carroll's famous novel. The Phantom Tollbooth is more geared toward teaching children the importance of learning.

An invigorating tale of a boy who was bored. A child would love this book. As an adult, it is one of my favorites.

I really liked this book because it had a lot of brain-teasers in it. In a lot of places it made you think and that's what is really fun for the reader.

It can be taken two ways; a nonsensical children's book, or a meaningful look at life.
