“I was instantly floored by how obvious it was that the author took inspiration from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Because of my love of Lewis Carroll's book I was destined to love this one as well. While the logic and wordplay and even quite a few of the plot points between the two were very similar, The Phantom Tollbooth differs in theme from Carroll's famous novel. The Phantom Tollbooth is more geared toward teaching children the importance of learning. ”
