    Pierce says:

"I liked the book. I liked when the farmer was telling the story and all the kids had the turkeys under their shirts! I think my Dad would like this book because it was funny!"

    Evelyn says:

" I kind of liked it. It was kind of weird when the turkeys were stuffed under the kids' shirts. It kind of reminded me of a Christmas book."

    ‘Twas The Night Before
    Thanksgiving

‘Twas The Night Before Thanksgiving is a book about kids that go on a fieldtrip to see turkeys. Then one of the kids sees an axe and ask what it is for and a man who owns the turkeys tells them that it’s for cutting the head of the turkeys for dinner on Thanksgiving night. The kids start to cry so they try to save them.
What I really like about this book is that it is funny and has a little of adventure in it, that is the type of book that I like.
My favorite part is when they try to save the turkeys because it’s really funny what they try to do to save them.
I recommend this book to kids who really like turkeys. I also recommend this book to kids who like adventure books.

I really enjoyed reading this book! It is something I would definetly read the week of/before Thanksgiving as part of my theme. It is a very funny book! It also has a version of a famous painting included - American Gothic!

Funny and cute for Thanksgiving. It's really a kid book for the "kid at heart". My students love it when the children are "mysteriously fatter", noting that there are turkey feet sticking out of the kids shirts. It's written to "Twas the Night before Christmas" pattern. The pictures are really cute and even little kids (about age 4 or 5 and up) appreciate the humor. It's one of my favorites.
