“It's a short and simple story about a famous mystery writer and a tv show host. Keeping the Christmas theme in mind the author has kept it clean, sometimes overly emotional and too much goody goody. And most important of all it is NOT a comedy!! I don't know why it's called 'a romantic comedy novella' when it is obviously not! It's only a romance story with some family drama. I think I should take a break from kindle free books for a while. I've started expecting too much from it!
“Ran out of the series I am reading so I thought I would pick up a light romance for a change. Free on my Kindle from Amazon. The story was cute, predictable, and as always over the top as far as falling in love goes. Nice way to dull the brain after some intensive reads. ”Sassy R wrote this review Friday, July 27, 2012. “Cute. Predictable and implausible but cute. ”Deborah A wrote this review Saturday, July 21, 2012. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“A darling of a "feel good" Christmas time book. Really fast moving and clean.
A short story of a TV show hostess, single mom, with her kids trying to help out the author-neighbor to have a merry, family Christmas. Really heartwarming!”

“This is a very sweet and lovely story about a woman that just loves the Christmas holidays and a slightly disgruntled author of acclaimed NY Bestseller Book, who hates the whole affair. Having just moved into Salt Lake City Alexis Anderson and her two children, Trista and Steven, are reading the last few chapters of one of their favorite books. In a few days the next novel is coming out and they can’t wait to buy it, as all three are really big fans of the author.
Little did they know that they moved right next door to their favorite author, Kyle Miller, who is experiencing writers block and doesn’t know how to finish the last chapters of hit next novel. He needed a place to stash the murder weapon, but came up with nothing special that would solve his problems. When he finds a freshly made snowman right on the border of his lawn, which he hates instantly, he has just the idea and needs to find out if his weapon would fit. That’s when he meets his new, feisty and Christmas loving neighbor.
Everything else is a story that needs to be experienced and loved. I cried a lot while reading the last chapters, because similar things happened to me, which surprised me a lot.
A touching and charming story about how to let go of the hurt of loss and enjoy life to its fullest.”
