Characters edit see section history

  • Patrick: Patrick is 12 years old and a dream seeker, which means his dreams are real. The challenges he faces in growing up get played out in his dreams, whether it's learning self-control or (2nd book) facing adversity. Trivia: Patrick has a swirly hair pattern based on my son's distinctive hair growth.
  • Grace: Grace is Patrick's 17 year old sister and like most sisters....well, he loves her of course, but she can also be hard to deal with. For one thing she spends far too much time in the bathroom primping. She also talks endlessly about boys. But, she is a skilled dream seeker. Look forward to more Grace in the second book due out in 2012.
  • Mom: Mom is a dream seeker and a really good one. She came up with the dream-seeking rules and now she's teaching her kids how to have safe adventures in their dreams.

Quotes edit see section history

  • “Dad is the stereotypical scientist. I'm pretty sure Mom lays his clothes out for him in the morning. Otherwise, he'd never manage matching socks. Now if only she'd comb his hair. Don't get me wrong, because I'm not complaining. As nutty as my dad can be, he's still one of the happiest people I know. Always with a corny joke ready, Dad bounds into a room, and I smile. His heart is in the right place, even if his necktie isn't.”
