“Characters: The character that I most enjoyed was probably Leo. He was my favorite because he was very funny and cool. He is a son of Hephaestus the Greek god. Leo can create and use fire and is very good at making things. That is why Leo was my favorite character in this book.
Plot: The most important word in this book is probably demigod. It is the most important word because it is kind of the center of the book. The main characters Percy, Annabeth, Piper, Leo, Jason, Frank, and Hazel are all demigods. Demigod means half human half god, giving them special powers. That is why demigod is the most important word in the text.
Setting: The place this book is set is kind of all over the place but mostly it was placed in Greece. They are searching through Greece to find the Mark of Athena. The Mark of Athena is an owl that is supposed to lead Annabeth to the prize of Athena. It leads her deep into the buried world of Ancient Greece. That is the setting of this book.
Theme: I think that the theme of this book is friendship. This book brings two different "clicks" or friend groups and teaches them to become good friends. It pulls the seven teenagers together iin the middle of a major trial. The adventure also teaches them to work together. That is why I think that friendship is the main theme of the story”
