  • Laurel Sewell: Laurel Sewell; the main character, is a faerie put in the human world to inherit the land on which the portal to Avalon, or the portal to the faerie realm, is on. Her is a fall fairy.
  • Tamani de Rhoslyn: Laurel's other love interest. He is a faerie like her and they were childhood friends; inseparable until she lost her memory. He hopes she will choose him over David in the end. He is Laurel's guardian or protector.
  • David Lawson: Laurel's ex-boyfriend, now just her friend, is one of the main characters and one of Laurel's love interest's. He's been through it all with her, but will be broken if she chooses Tamani over him in the end.
  • Chelsea Davis: Chelsea is Laurel's best friend and has had her eye on David for as long as she can remember. She's been through many experiences in her life, but being kidnapped by a crazed troll has to top off the list of terrifying moments.
  • Mr. Sewell: Laurel's father is a bookshop owner; his shop is right next to his wife's Natural Remedy store.
  • Mrs. Sewell: Laurel's mother has a Natural Remedy shoppe next to her husband's book store. Hates all doctors.
  • Shar: Shar is Tamani's friend, boss, and trainer. He protects the gateway to Avalon and has taught and had trained Tamani since he was sixteen. Shar taught Tamani everything he needs to know to protect Laurel and Avalon.
  • Yuki: A Winter faerie.
  • Klea: Klea is a Troll Hunter who has saved Laurel, David and Tamani multiple times in the past, but now they find out, she's been working with the trolls to take revenge on Avalon for banishing her.
