Didn’t Like It“Really really didn't like this book. I just thought it was weird. And although it's C.S. Lewis, it's not a Christian book - it's basically a Greek gods story rewritten” see full review » see other reviews » |
“Been looking to go back to read much of C.S. Lewis' work and this one I found difficult to start. Once I got into the heart of the story though it was interesting to see how the story did develop. It is a classic how our human frailties effect our thoughts and relationships to those around us.

“As usual, CS Lewis' work is brilliant!”

A retold tale of Cupid and Psyche, from the perspective of Psyche's older ugly sister. Incredibly sad and universally relatable, this will make you weep in anger that such a life could exist.”

The tale is well told, but there were some things I did not like in it as well as having trouble understanding "till we have faces".”
