This book got me into both Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. Since one of my book goals now is to amass everything either one has ever written, I'd say it did an excellent job.

Lovely mad book - a kind of Lennon & McCartney effort between Gaiman and Pratchett. That is to say that each brought out the best in the other. A frothy, optimistic, deeply funny book about the Apocolypse.

I'm fully aware that many people are in huge favour with this book. However I do not seem to understand why.. Despite of the obvious fact that Terry Pratchett is a very fine author. I did not finished the book and honestly do not intend to re-open it again :)

From the Satan-worshipping nuns, to a book-collecting angel, to a hellhound named 'dog', this book kept me laughing the whole time. I especially loved the little throw away details, such as Crowley's odd way of convincing his houseplants to grow. Also, there is an abundance of footnotes, and I'm a huge fan of the one about the bibles.

I am totally, madly, and even insanely in love with Neil Gaiman right now. Stardust was especially amazing for me. I like this one, but have been too busy to love it.

This book was so amazing. I loved all the footnotes, I cracked up the entire time.

There were some absolutely hilarious moments, but this book continues to follow how I've felt about both authors: I like neither of them. Terry Pratchett is too punny for me, and this says a lot because I enjoy puns. I like Neil Gaiman's ideas, but I just don't enjoy his style. Combined there are good points, but overall I just don't find a lot of enjoyment.
