soooo funny. my daughter made me read this after reading Moore's Lamb. Maybe not your things if you take religion too seriously or literally but I love it.

Terry Pratchett is one of those writers that really only gets better the more books he writes. I really loved Good Omens and, as with all his books, found it to be a true reflection of our world i.e. our believe in the battle between good and evil, how we relate to our world, nature vs nurture, etc. All his characters are extremely human even when they are personifications. The reason for this is simply that he sees them much the same as the ancient Greeks saw their gods: Created by their believe therefore bothered by the same reasoning and emotions as we are.

This remains, in my shelf at least, a classic that I recommend to anyone.

I eventually had to re-purchase the book in hardcover because my paperback was falling apart from being read so much.
